072 Into the Year

Often I will write a little something as a review of the year we’ve left behind. I didn’t for 2025, and this little missive won’t really address much of that, either. Instead, I’ll offer a glimpse of what’s been occupying some of my mind in recent weeks, before more substantial installments.
As always, I’m continually trying to figure out how to fit a life of creative and intellectual pursuit into a routine of work, household duties, partnership, and so on. Future installments here will be the fruit of some of these practices, I hope, and those should start coming soon. I haven’t written or published as much as I’d have liked over the past few months. In the meantime, I’m trying to do what I can to read, write, watch, and listen to interesting things; to be at least a little present in the natural world; and to foster conviviality in whatever ways I can.
For now: a small curation of images and things indicative of what’s kept me buzzing lately in some kind of way, helping me to grapple with problems or to feel different kinds of pleasure or wonder, prompting me to keep asking questions, to want to keep asking questions.
